Even though Slovakia can be driven west to east in just six hours, or from north to south in as little as two, the country boasts five spots which have been included on the list made by UNESCO and called the World´s Cultural and Natural Heritage sites.

These are the town of BARDEJOV, a fortified medieval town, a sprawling castle ruin of SPIŠSKÝ HRAD, a traditional village called VLKOLÍNEC, an international cave system of SLOVAK KARST and a former mining town of BANSKÁ ŠTIAVNICA.
